News and Updates - Updated 3/31/2009

"We've all heard the story of the three wise men who brought their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the baby Jesus. But what about the camels who carried them? Here is the story of Humphrey the camel and his long and cold journey to Bethlehem.

In addition to an engaging text and gorgeous, yet whimsical artwork, this story reminds children of the importance of the Christmas holiday and the true meaning of gift giving."

NOW AVAILABLE - Carol's first original story, HUMPHREY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS!

The launch for my 25th picture book, my silver anniversary book, HUMPHREY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS was amazing. It was a glorious day! Over sixty friends attended. There was a Humphrey cake and blanket cookies! The weather was wonderful, and everything was so much fun. It was held at America's Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College. We all got to see an animal show, which included an Emu and a Coyote! After the show we all went to another area to meet the guest star, "Humphrey!" aka Forest. I got to feed him carrots and pet him! The highlight of the day! All in all it was perfect! We had a blast!

"Were is the young Mary, the richly attired Magi, the protective Joseph, and the toughly clad shepherds gathered round the manger that held the Son of God. This is the traditional story, based on the Bible account. Heyer's art, rendered on canvas, imparts to the book the texture of an elegant and classic work of art."
