Here is a review by Children's Book Mix for Humphrey's First Palm Sunday!  Check it out on YouTube:

Well the launch for Humphrey's First Palm Sunday at Mrs. Figs' Bookworm was a HUGE success.  Connie Halpern, Mrs. Figs, was amazing and the day was fun and exciting. The first count is in for copies of Humphrey sold for the debut at 136. I'll put out a notice when the final count is tallied, but that is spectacular!  Below are some photos taken on the day by Siri Weber Feeney.

MRS. FIGS HAS SOLD OVER 400 COPIES OF HUMPHREY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS...and...HUMPHREY IS BACK!!!
THE MUCH ANTICIPATED SEQUEL IS HERE!
HUMPHREY'S FIRST PALM SUNDAY BOOK LAUNCH
The delightfully goofy camel we met in Humphrey's First Christmas is back, three decades older and not much wiser. He wants nothing more than to be the lead camel in the caravan, so he can improve his view. When the caravan leads him to Jerusalem , he crosses paths with Jesus making his triumphal entry. Humphrey is delighted to see Jesus, now a grown man, and remembers the Child to whom he gave his coveted blanket all those years ago in Bethlehem .Carol Heyer's rich acrylic paintings showcase the quirkiness of the camel and add humor to the story. Here is a book that both entertains and informs without ever straying from the true meaning of Palm Sunday and the Easter holiday.

My art appears on the cover of a great new fantasy book written by Eleanor Rogers!  The book has just been released!  It's awesome!  Click on the cover to learn more and place an order!
"Lyris Radleck's normal school life is turned on its head when she learns that she's only half human. Worse, she has a destiny she never asked for and doesn't want."

The Signing at THE MUSEUM OF VENTURA COUNTY was wonderful.  I had a great time!  JANNETTE JAUREGUI a reporter for the VENTURA COUNTY STAR did some great interviews on each author and some fun photos too.  The story appeared in today's paper and started out with my "famous" Robin Hood story. Click on the VC Star logo below and it will take you to the complete article with photos!

THE MUSEUM OF VENTURA COUNTY will host a special free story time and book signing from 2 to 4 p.m. Sun., Dec. 18 at the museum, 100 E. Main St. in downtown Ventura.

Thanks to Connie Halperin and everyone at Mrs. Figs' Bookworm in Camarillo, I had the most spectacular book launch ever!  I had such an amazing time, got to see some old friends, meet new ones and sign lots of books!, close to two-hundred and still counting!!

I was excited and honored to see this new article by ANN CANNON in the THE SALT LAKE TRIBUNE: Ann Cannon: A Holiday Tradtition Worth Reading About.  She picked HUMPHREY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS  as one of her five favorite books!! Here is the paragraph that mentions her favorites!

"Over the years, a few clear personal favorites have emerged: The Story of Holly and Ivy by Rumer Godden, A Letter to Santa Claus by Rose Impey and Sue Porter, Wombat Divine by Mem Fox, The Little Fir Tree by Margaret Wise Brown and HUMPHREY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS by Carol Heyer."

I also wanted to mention when HUMPHREY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS was originally launched ANN CANNON picked it as one of the new books she would add to her ever growing collection!  Of course here's my favorite line from the article! :0)

"And I'm not sure I can't resist the divinely silly "Humphrey's First Christmas" by Carol Heyer — a story about a camel's journey to the stable and the surprise he finds waiting there.
